The Riga Zoo

You may see over 400 various species of birds and animals at the Riga National Zoological Garden. It is a perfect place to meet different animals and take photos with them. The Riga Zoo is open for visitors all year round. Each season of the year in the zoo is different, but they all are interesting in their own way.

The Giraffe house is the newest, most modern and, of course, the most visited animal house in the Riga Zoo. In the Tropical house the visitors have the opportunity to see animals kept in conditions that are maximally close to their natural environment. Extensive collection of insects, gorgeous tropical amphibians, mysterious nocturnal animals and reptiles can amaze everyone. Sheep, goats, calf, horse, pigs, chickens and rabbits are the typical inhabitants of a traditional Latvian farmstead. And a lot more you may find at the Riga zoo.
